The Islander Koa Sport is a compact sit on top designed for beach play but is also at home on rivers, lakes and canals. With a wave piercing upswept bow it is ideal for paddling in the surf and is surprisingly good in moderately choppy water too. It has a stable multi-chine hull with full keel so has good straight line tracking and is an easy to paddle kayak for exploring gentle waterways.

Being compact and lightweight it is easy to load onto a car roof and to carry to the water. On the water the Koa feels larger than it is, cutting through chop and riding over small surf really well. It has a surprising turn of speed when needed and is also very agile.

The Koa Sport is supplied with a central 6in screw hatch opening into a small storage area where you can keep a snack or other bits and bobs you might need when on the water. The Islander Sport also comes with a comfortable Deluxe Seat.
