The Wilderness Systems Tarpon 100 are 'Deluxe' sit on top kayaks, offering a great build quality and more features and comfort than many on the market. Manufactured in the UK the Tarpon 100 E is the most compact in the range and is a feature packed premium touring kayak ideal for paddling on calm coastal or inland waters and fine on a bit of gentle choppy water too. The seating system is super comfortable and there is ample storage space including a storage hatch in the bow and another fitted just forwards of the seat, also in the cockpit are two handy storage pockets with mesh covers and behind the seat is a good sized rear tank well.

With four Wilderness Systems SlideTrax accessory mounts pre-fitted the Tarpon 100 E is all ready to transform into a fishing kayak without having to do any DIY. If you want to go further with modifications you could even add a pair of flush mount rod holders either side behind the seat to troll some lures as you paddle. The Slidetrax system can also take other accessories such as a visibility kit or camera mounts.

The V profile at the bow along with a stable hull gives this kayak excellent glide and manoeuvrability for its size. The adjustable AirPro seating system of the Wilderness Systems Tarpon 100 E offers excellent comfort for longer days on the water. Should any water splash onto the paddler or seat it will drain through the fine mesh cover and vented padding down out though the below seat scupper holes so avoiding the sitting in a puddle scenario you can get with many SOTs.

We recommend the Railblaza C-Tug for transporting this kayak from car to water or the C-Tug Sandtracz if you have a fair bit of softer surfaces to cross.

If you want to paddle longer distances (10 miles+), carry more kit or take on more challenging conditions we would recommend the longer Tarpon 120 E.
