Description
One of the biggest boats in the Enigma Canoes range with a high carrying capacity, the Enigma Canoes Journey 164 is a canoe well suited and designed to carry multiple paddlers and expedition kit for overnight adventures. With a wide beam, the Journey 164 is a stable canoe combined with a deep V-shaped hull below the waterline to make it excellent for tracking in a straight-line or when used on open water such as lakes, lochs or broads.
As standard the Journey 164 is complete with varnished wood webbed seats which are comfortable to sit or kneel from when paddling. Vinyl gunwales and integrated carry handles into the deck ends, makes transporting the canoe to the water lovely and straightforward. Constructed of high density triple layer plastic, with a foam-core as the central layer the Journey 164 is extremely durable and offers exceptional rigidity. Manufactured in Canada the proverbial home of canoeing, the construction leaves the canoe less prone to oil canning making it well liked by commercial and recreational users. It is worth noting that due to the highly durable materials combined with the size of this canoe the Journey is not a lightweight boat.
The Journey represents a fantastic canoe for families looking for a strong reliable and robust canoe, is well loved by rental operators thanks to its easy to paddle, stable and capable of being laden up for multi-day trips.
